Sicilian blood orange

The red orange of Sicily is a typical product of the Etna areas. In fact, it is the composition of the soil, enriched by the substances emitted by volcanic eruptions, to provide the characteristic color of these citrus fruits. In particular, the vulcanic sand, present in the soil, is rich in mineral nutrients for the plant.

Moreover, the iron present in abundance in the volcanic ash gives the plant the typical color of the Etna red orange.

Sicilian blood orange is very rich in vitamins, some of which are naturally present in the human body. Other vitamins, such as those found in oranges, enter our body through food. Oranges are an example of how natural substances are present in nature to live well! Moreover, we all know that the vitamin "C" of citrus fruits limits seasonal colds and raises the immune system.

Our company cultivates citrus fruits in a very generous and fertile Etna area, Biancavilla, a village whose inhabitants have never abandoned agricultural traditions. The fertilizers we use are those of "Mother Nature" because the periodic eruptions of Etna and the subsequent fall of the volcanic ash feed the soil with nutrients to the plants. These, seem to thank, giving us fruits with a unique flavor to bring to the table, however, the fruits also offer us fresh oranges rich in goodness. The people of our family personally take care of the crops with the same love as our fathers. We have treasured the decades of experience of our fathers, aligning production methods with new technologies, but without ever falling into the easy temptations of mass production.

Our farm has worked to provide a fresh product in the tables of its customers, making agreements with distribution logistics companies, such as to deliver in a capillary way throughout the Italian and European territory.
